The power of TV advertising--
The good news is that cereal companis are reportedly improving the nutritional quality of their children's products: less sodium, less sugar, more fiber.
But a new study from Yale University claims those efforts are overwshaddowed by consistent marketing of unhealthy cereals to kids:

Young Kids are Cutting.
Researchers have found that children as young as 7-years-old may be injuring themselves to deal with feelings of depression and anger.
This study published in the Journal Pediatrics, is believed to be the first to examine self injury at such a young age.

JUNE 7, 2012: It's a super high-tech onsie, supposedly allowing parents to monitor baby's heart rate, behavior and emotional state.
I would think the controversy comes in the design of the onsie: The maker has inserted conductive fibers in the onsie that transmit to a wireless transiever.
This in turn sends info about the baby to the parents' computer, cell phone and PDA's.
The company's website is a little confusing, as the attached article points out, though it does contain a direct link to the onsie maker:

JUNE 5, 2012: Expect to see fewer ads for junk food on children-oriented programs, thank you Walt Disney Company!
WDC is set to announce today that all products advertised on its TV, radio and websites have a new set of nutritional criteria.
This includes limiting calories and reducing saturated fat, sodium & sugar.

they're called pods or action packs being introduced by many brands including Tide, Purex and All.
Poison control centers nationwide are reporting an increase in calls about kids under 5-years-old, swallowing these pods with traumatic results:

MAY 24, 2012: Could having a c-section put baby at risk for obesity?
A new study from Boston's Children's Hospital found that c-section babies have a higher BMI and skin fold thickness by age 3.
The study also says the c-section babies they studied were born with more intestinal bacteria that could increase insulin resistance & the production of fat deposits:
